On July 11, the Expert Council of the Baikal Harbor Special Economic Zone held a meeting to discuss a business plan for the construction of the Green Flow Baikal Hotel at the Turka lot. The Council decided to support the investment project of Green Flow Baikal, LLC.
The Regional Development Fund of Buryatia started to work with this investor only about six months ago in December 2018. This work led to the signing of the agreement in June to develop a project with the total investment of 871.2 million rubles (about 15 million USD).
Boris Dymbrylov, RDF’s General Director, said in a statement: “Six months passed since the day the Fund invited Alexander Tertychniy to take part in the Investor Day in December 2018. During this time, his professional team has visited our Republic four times. He’s already conducted preliminary assessments and done some economic calculations for the future hotel business on Baikal. We will always support the entry of sectoral investors to implement similar projects in our Republic”.
This project involves the construction of a 4-star hotel, which complies with the current standards of hotel star ratings. The new hotel will further develop the conceptual principles of the Green Flow Hotel, which is successfully operating at Roza Hutor Resort in Sochi. The Green Flow Baikal Hotel will be fully supported by the utility infrastructure of the Baikal Harbor SEZ.
Resort development plan includes the provision of public amenities throughout the whole territory of the hotel. The workforce will be recruited from the local communities of Gremyachinsk, Goryachinsk, and Turka, as well as from all over the region. There are plans to invite local farms to supply the hotel with fresh and organic products.
This project will boost small businesses in Turka working in the hospitality industry. Pribaikalsky District will get 153 high-paying jobs.
Alexander Tertychniy, General Director of Green Flow Baikal, LLC, said: “The goal of this project is to become the best hotel and leisure operator of the Baikal region in Russia in the segment of high-quality therapeutic recreation. Our mission is to offer true leisure with health care. Literally, it means paying more attention to details and our guests’ experiences”.
The project of Green Flow Baikal includes the construction of a unique conceptual hotel in Buryatia with all the prerequisites for emotional and physical transformation and relaxation thanks to the energy of the nature and intuitive service. The project has a high degree of readiness with design drawings already developed.
